Someone managed to snag a picture of iPhone running on Airtel. As we can see from the image, the iPhone will support EDGE and will have 3G after spectrum is allotted.

Airtel will be launching a value added card by the name of Airtel Live Card which we guess will work with iPhone to provide the users with downloadable multimedia content (music?). We are still unclear about this though.

[Thanks Tipster]

That is just an image of unlocked phone. The iphone by default doesnt support wallpaper behind icons. This is just an iphone running some unsupported programs. I am using an iphone for about a year on Airtel and Vodafone and can make a better screenshot.

@Jax: I don’t think its a screenshot of an unlocked 2G iPhone. Because if you see the icons there is an icon of GPS (3rd from Left at the bottom). iPhone 2G did not have GPS.

The icon is of Maps. That is available in the iPhone 2.0 software upgrade. so this is an unlocked version for sure.
