While we are still waiting for the Wonder Car to come out of curtains, lads from a Bangalore college have created their version of Wonder Car which can run around 200 km/litre (180 km to be precise) under test conditions. Dubbed as RVCE Supermileage car, the car was created by eight students in the workshop of R.V. College of Engineering, where they study.
The solo car with small tyres may not be an eye catcher but with the rising fuel costs, this can be a blessing if the guys plan to make it commercially viable. However, money is not their top priority now because the team is working on the design modifications and other technicalities to make the car reach up to 500 km/litre.
They will be participating in SAE Supermileage and Shell Eco Marathon to show their baby to the world. Great going guys!
