
Asus has announced a Windows-based PDA phone, P750. The phone is aimed at business class and runs Windows Mobile 6 Professional on a 520MHz processor with 256MB ROM & 64MB RAM. It supports triband networks, HSDPA, WLAN (802.11 b+g), Bluetooth V2.0+ EDR, USB 1.1, microSD/SDHC storage options and has a built-in GPS antenna.
P750 includes a slew of business oriented features which can increase the productivity of the users. First is an application known as Ur Time which allows the user to view the time of various cities on the Today screen. Ur Time is integrated with the Meeting Time Planner, which helps to eliminate the hassle of converting time to a specific time zone.
The Newstation is an RSS reader while the Auto Cleaner function cleans up the unwanted data. It also has a business card scanner which keys in the details from the card into the contact list.
GPS related apps are Travelog and Location Courier. Travelog helps the user to record and share their traveling pictures, routes, Points of Interests (POIs), schedules and Location Courier sends periodic report of the user’s current position to pre-defined contacts.
The phone is available in India at a price tag of Rs. 28900 ($737).
