Sony Japan are now selling its VAIO Type G series with an option of 32GB Solid State Disks (SSD) if the user does not want the conventional HDD. If you remember, G Series laptops are the lightest notebooks in the world and with the inclusion of SSD, the weight has reduced to 859 grams from 898 grams. If you select SSD in the configuration page it will cost you ¥310,800 ($2612) which has a massive price difference of ¥65,000 ($546) from the model with 40GB HDD (which is the lowest available). All the notebooks will run on Core Solo processors, 1GB of RAM, security features, Wi-Fi and much more.
