Despite facing stiff competition from Sony’s PS3 and Nintendo’s Wii, Xbox 360 still manages to sell a handsome number of units. According to the preliminary figures from a research firm NSD, Microsoft sold 294,000 units which is 18% higher than it sold in January 2006 when 360 was enjoying a monopoly status in the next gen console market.
