Alright, it’s here. Apple has finally announced the much awaited iPhone. And let me tell you that it looks better than the mock ups we have seen so far. Clubbing the traditional phone, a widescreen iPod and all the internet functions, iPhone will hit the stores in June 2007 in US. The phone has a huge 3.5″ touchscreen sans buttons, Quad-band network support, 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 2.0, EDGE, 2 megapixel camera and will come in 4GB and 8GB capacities. The phone’s operating system is OS X, embeds Safari browser, Google Maps and Widgets support. Full juice of battery gives 5 hours of talktime or 16 hours of audio playback. US residents can get it on a two year contract from Cingular at a price of $499 (4GB) and $599 (8GB). And regarding the worldwide release, Europe will get it in late 2007 and Asia in 2008.
