i-Mate better known for selling HTC’s rebadged smartphones, will now be launching a new Windows Mobile phone. But this time, it is being reported that the phone is not rebadged and is created right from scratch. Dubbed as the JAQ, which was codenamed earlier as Mercury will run on Windows Mobile 5.0 OS powered 200Mhz TI OMAP850 processor.
It will feature a 2.8″ TFT screen with 64K colors, miniSD card slot, 64MB RAM, 128MB ROM, Bluetooth 1.2, Infrared and a 1.3 megapixel camera. It will be a GSM phone supporting GPRS as well as EDGE.
