While the whole world is blaming iPod for the lightning incident which almost zapped the 17 year old, the Register reports that it was the iPod which saved the teenager’s life. Excerpt from the post.
The teenager would probably have been caught by lightning anyway, but it’s possible the iPod earphone cables may have saved his life, directing the current quickly away from his chest and, crucially, his heart.
