Sony’s Vaio VGN-UX50 was a hit. And now Sony has announced two new UMPCs in the U series. The UX90PS and UX90S will feature a flash drive instead of a HDD. The 16GB flash drive will enable the UMPC work faster, can have up to 13% more battery life and will make the UMPC lighter by 28 grams compared to the UX50. The new VAIO UMPCs will also feature digital TV broadcasting and will be out by July 3.
They will be either powered by a Core Solo U1400 (1.20GHz) or Core Solo U1300 (1.06GHz) processor, 512MB RAM and a 4.5″ WSVGA display running Windows XP. Both the models are priced at Â¥209,000 (US$1,798).
