Gionee today announced two new phones that bolsters its mid-range and top-end segment. First is the Elife E8 that takes over the photographic duties from last year’s E7 with a huge 24 megapixel sensor that is capable to take photos in up to 120 megapixel resolution with 3x lossless zoom. The selfie part is handled by an 8 megapixel on the front and runs Amigo 3.1 atop Android 5.1.
As for the rest of the hardware, the Elife E8 has a MediaTek MTK6795 octa-core 2GHz chipset, 3GB RAM, 6-inch WQHD Super AMOLED display, fingerprint sensor at the back, dual SIM 4G support, 64GB internal memoy and decent 3520mAh battery with fast charging.
The Elife E8 will sell in China for 3999RMB.
The M5 on the other hand, is built to work for days with its 6000mAh battery that lasts up to 4 days on a single charge. On the specs front, the M5 comes with a 5.5-inch HD AMOLED display, MediaTek MT6735 processor, 2GB RAM, 13 megapixel main camera with 5 megapixel on the front, dual LTE support and 16GB internal memory.
The Marathon M5 is priced at 2299RMB.
