Samsung today unveiled the Galaxy Mega range, consisting of Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Galaxy Mega 6.3 for the Indian market. Samsung says the Galaxy Mega series combines the “portability and convenience of a smartphone with the power, multitasking capabilities and extensive viewing experience of a tablet.”
Priced at Rs. 25,100, the Galaxy Mega 5.8 features a 5.8-inch display with qHD resolution support (960×540), 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, Android 4.2 OS, 8MP and 1.9MP cameras, 8GB internal memory, microSD card slot and 2600mAh battery. The phone also comes with Multi Window, S Translator, S Travel, Story Album and lots more. The phone will go on sale within a week.
The Galaxy Mega 6.3 on the other hand has a 6.3-inch 720p HD display and is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core processor with 1.5GB RAM. Additionally, the devices comes with the same 8MP and 1.9MP cameras, 16GB internal memory, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth, GPS and 3200mAh battery.
On the software side, the Galaxy Mega 6.3 comes pre-loaded with WatchON, S Travel, S Translator, Air View, Multi Window and more.
Samsung expects the phone to be available from mid-June.
