Samsung’s known to cater each and every price segment in the smartphone market and after launching the mid-range Galaxy Win a few days back, they’ve launched an entry-level Galaxy Star for the Indian market.
The phone seems a perfect match for first time smartphone buyers as it tries to offer a decent smartphone experience at an affordable price of Rs. 5,240. The phone’s feature list includes Android 4.1, Cortex-A5 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM, 3-inch touchscreen QVGA display, dual-SIM support, 2MP camera, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi, microSD card slot and 1200mAh battery.
The Galaxy Star packs the TouchWiz UI and comes with additional features like motion UI, Smart Dual-SIM functionality, Google Now, ChatON.
Samsung has also teamed up with Vodafone to give 250MB of 2G data free for 2 months till end of July.
