LG teased it and now they’ve officially unwrapped their 5-inch device ahead of Mobile World Congress (MWC). The Optimus Vu will take on its arch rival’s Galaxy Note with a display with 4:3 aspect ratio which LG reckons is “optimized for viewing to grasp more at a glance and note taking to increase productivity.”
At just 8.5mm, Optimus Vu is touted to be the world’s slimmest LTE phone and boasts some decent specs like a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, a 5-inch 1024×768 IPS display, 1GB RAM, 8MP main camera, 1.3MP front facing camera, 32GB internal memory, HDMI, DLNA, T-DMB and 2080mAh battery.
The device will be launched with Android 2.3 but LG has confirmed that Android 4.0 is already in the works. Additionally, the phone / tablet combo device supports stylus pen input called as the Rubberdium pen.
