Sony has revealed more details of its NGP gaming console at the E3 expo. Henceforth, the handheld console will be known as PS Vita and will be released at the end of 2011 (presumably, in time for holidays). Sony will release two variants of the PS Vita – Wi-Fi priced at 24,980 yen in Japan, $249 in US and 249 euro in Europe whereas the 3G/Wi-Fi model will sell for 29,980 yen in Japan, $299 in US and 299 euro.
To rehash, the PS Vita sports a 5-inch OLED display supporting a resolution of 960×544 pixels. It also features GPS, a touch pad at the rear, gyro and motion sensors, dual cameras and a new media slot, different from the current UMD discs.
Some of the games that will arrive on the PS Vita are UNCHARTED: Golden Abyss, LittleBigPlanet and Ruin
