Sony has detailed three new Cyber-shot cameras expected to go on sale in mid-September. Sony will offer the Cyber-shot T99 in multitude of colors and is able to capture photos at 14.1 megapixel with 4x optical zoom and Optical SteadyShot. The camera can record videos at 720p HD resolution and supports Sweep Panorama with the new Underwater Sweep Panorama feature.
Moving to high-end options, WX5 and TX9 Cyber-shot cameras promise great looking pictures thanks to Sony’s Exmor R CMOS sensor. Exmor R sensor coupled with new Superior Auto mode give DSLR-take pictures with low-noise and wide dynamic range.
Other interesting features these 12.2 megapixel shooters boast are full HD video recording capability, Background DeFocus and Sweep Panaroma 3D. After Sony’s NEX DSLRs, these are the first 3D supporting Cyber-shots allowing to capture beautiful landscapes in three-dimension. Although this can be viewed only on 3D TVs, Sony has integrated ‘3D-style’ image that allows 3D-like images to be taken and viewed on a normal 2D TV.
TX9, T99 and WX5 will retail for $400, $250 and $300 respectively.
