Samsung Wave

It doesn’t matter if the phones land or reach the shore because good thing for Indian consumers is that they’ll be able to enjoy both powerful Samsung devices at competitive prices.

The Wave is based on Samsung’s bada operating system. Bada in Korean means ‘Ocean’ and Samsung wants to give consumers endless possibilities with the platform, just like the ocean. Nonetheless, for a price of Rs. 19,000 Wave seems a good buy. Its features include a fast 1GHz CPU, 3.3-inch Super AMOLED screen, TouchWiz UI, Social Hub for quick access to social networking sites, 5 megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording, microSD card slot, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11n and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Galaxy S

The Galaxy S is the high-end Galaxy device running Android OS 2.1. Its impressive specs sheet boast a 1GHz CPU, 4-inch Super AMOLED display, TouchWiz UI, Social Hub, 5MP camera, 720p HD video recording, access to Android market, GPS, microSD card slot, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11n and 3.5mm headphone jack. It will sell for Rs. 31,000.
