Having failed in its attempt to make a competitive netbook, Nokia is rumored to trying out their hand in the much talked about category – the tablets. According to Rodman Renshaw analyst Ashok Kumar, Nokia is in talks with suppliers and design manufacturers to complete a touchscreen-enabled tablet by this fall.
The rumor hasn’t been confirmed by Nokia so we can’t totally rely on this piece of info but if it does turn out to be true, we may see Nokia pitting its products against the likes of iPad and many upcoming promising tablets, like the ICD Gemini.
The rest of the specs are not revealed but considering its alliance with Intel, we can safely say that Nokia’s device could be home to an Intel chip (Atom presumably) and run customized MeeGo OS.
