So if you’ve been following the console gaming scene for quite some time, you already have a hint that Microsoft is gearing up to chuck the Xbox 360 Pro unit out of the inventory and reduce Elite’s price to same as Pro. Well, here’s one more unofficial confirmation sent by a tipster to Engadget. The picture as you can see shows only Arcade and Elite SKUs up for comparison.
An interesting thing to note in this comparison is that even though Microsoft will reduce the price to an enticing $299, the new bundle pack will be bundled with SD Composite cables instead of HDMI that is bundled currently with the $399 Elite. Effectively, without the bundled HDMI cable, the new Elite will be a Pro with double the storage, different color and a headset.
