Microsoft Xbox Series X and Series S releasing on Nov 10

Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S

Microsoft has just confirmed the release date of its upcoming Xbox consoles. Beginning November 10, both the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S will be available worldwide with the US pricing at $499 and $299 respectively. If you don’t want to shell out upfront, Microsoft will also offer the consoles as part of Xbox All Access in 12 countries – Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, South Korea, Sweden, UK and United States at a price of just $24.99 a month for the Xbox Series S and $34.99 for the Series X, which not only includes the hardware but also 24 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (EA Play included). Pre-orders start from September 22. As for gamers in India, they will be able to purchase the Xbox Series X for Rs. 49,990 and the Xbox Series S for Rs. 34,990.

As for the games, some of the launch titles include Gears Tactics, Tetris Effect: Connected and Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs: Legion.

Xbox Series S Exploded View

Microsoft has revealed ample info on the Xbox Series X but it was just yesterday that Microsoft acknowledged the existence of the Series S. Simply put, the Series S is the compact and an all-digital version that is built around the same technology as Xbox Series X.

It is powered by the Xbox Velocity Architecture, which means players will get faster load times and Quick Resume. It also supports HDMI 2.1, frame rates up to 120fps, DirectX Raytracing and Variable Rate Shading along with Spatial Sound, including Dolby Atmos, and Dolby Vision for streaming apps. Dolby Vision support for gaming will arrive on Xbox consoles in 2021.
