UPDATE: Mark Gurman from Bloomberg who’s considered a very reliable source when it comes to all things Apple says there will be no iPhones next week. In fact, the event will reveal the new iPad and the Apple Watch. New iPhones will come in October.
It’s iPhone month and right on the money, Apple just confirmed an event scheduled for next week. Set on September 15 at 10 AM PT (9:30 PM IST), the event teaser does not say anything except for a showing the Apple logo with a lot of twists.
The announcement is delayed by a few days compared to last year but understandable given the pandemic. According to The Verge, Apple is expected to announce four iPhone 12 with two numbered ones with an affordable price tag and two Pro variants with top-of-the-line features and price. The new iPhones could also support 5G but it’s a feature not so sought after in India right now since we are still months away from getting a working 5G network.
Apple can also introduce an updated Apple Watch, smaller and cheaper HomePod speaker and possibly a new iPad.
Apple will stream the pre-recorded event from Apple Park.
