The successor to the current generation of Fitbit Versa leaked in pictures. The Leak comes from Evan Blass, a renowned leaker of technology gadgets. As compared to the current generation which uses an LCD display, the new Versa will feature AMOLED display and looks more identical to the Apple Watch. However, the face of the watch still has some bezels around it. One of the highlights of the new Versa is the support for Amazon Alexa smart assistant. The rest of the features seem to be same as per the current Versa.
The pricing and the launch of the new Versa are not revealed. However, Fitbit needs the new Versa to generate good sales revenue as the company recently cut its 2019 revenue forecast due to low sales of its newly launched Versa Lite, a cheaper version of Versa. The smartwatch revenue of Fitbit decreased by 27 percent year-over-year in the second quarter.
