Xbox Game Pass is a Netflix-like game subscription service for Xbox One users. Microsoft has now confirmed that all Xbox Game Pass subscribers will get new releases from Microsoft Studios on the release date. For instance, subscribers will get Sea of Thieves on March 20 when the game is released globally as well as unreleased games like State of Decay 2, Crackdown 3 and unannounced games from Xbox’s exclusive franchises such as Halo, Forza and Gears of War.
Xbox Game Pass is similar to Sony’s PlayStation Now service that offers hundreds of games at a fixed monthly cost. However, the major factor that separates both these services is the Xbox Game Pass allows gamers to download and not stream, which PlayStation Now does. This effectively eliminates the requirement to have a fast internet connection and low latency to enjoy the basket of games.
Xbox Game Pass is currently available in India for a monthly price of Rs. 699.
