Upcoming OnePlus phone name inspired by a famous former NBA player

OnePlus is all set to unleash its next flagship this summer. Labeled as the OnePlus 5, this will be the successor to the recent OnePlus 3/3T phones. There will be no OnePlus 4 as number 4 is considered to be unlucky in China where OnePlus company is based. OnePlus 5 gets its name from the famous former NBA player Robert Horry. Robert enjoys a huge fan-following among OnePlus staff members. OnePlus’s Shenzhen office sports two Robert Horry’s paintings and his number five jersey inspired the smartphone’s name.

As per the rumors, the OnePlus 5 will feature Snapdragon 835 chipset, 6GB RAM, 64GB/128GB storage and a rear dual-camera setup. The pricing and availability are yet to be confirmed.
