Motorola’s Moto 360 (2nd gen) went on sale in India today and now the company has announced a new version of its smartwatch targeted at athletes. The watch now sports a stronger silicone construction, which Motorola claims does not absorb sweat or fades or stains. Another interesting addition in the variant is the built-in GPS that works with Moto Body along with integration with running apps like Google Fit, MapMyRun, Strava, Fitbit, etc. that helps the runners to record their runs.
Rest of the features are more or less the same with an integrated heart rate sensor, Android Wear OS, IP67 certified, 1.37-inch display, 4GB internal storage, 512MB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 300mAh battery.
Moto 360 Sport will go on sale in the UK and France first from December 18. In the US, Motorola has set January 7 as the release date for $299 followed by Brazil, Canada, China, Mexico and Spain later next year.
