Google has found a new partner to keep its networking efforts alive with Asus. Both companies have partnered to create a new OnHub router that looks oddly similar to what TP-Link had designed as the first OnHub router but with a slightly wider cylindrical design. Asus’ OnHub gains Wave Control, which lets you boost the Wi-Fi speed for a particular device by simply waving your hand over the top of the Asus OnHub.
The router also comes with a faster Wi-Fi and support for Google app to setup and manage it.
As for existing OnHub owners, expect a new firmware update later this week that will improve the performance of the router along with a new smart antenna algorithm.
The Asus OnHub will sell in the US for $219.99
