The Customs at the New Delhi airport detained seven individuals carrying iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus devices. Now this would have been not much of a concern had it were a few iPhones but collectively, these guys were carrying a whopping 182 iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus phones with them.
The Indian Express report states, the individuals were “young people in their late 20s who had come from Hong Kong and Singapore on separate flights.”
The iPhones were brought to India to be sold in the gray market where Apple iPhones enjoy a good premium, especially when the phones are not yet available in the country.
Apple iPhone 6s and the 6s Plus are latest smartphones from the Cupertino giant where they have sold over 13 million units in the first three days of the launch and will expand to other countries, including India by October 16.
Apple is yet to confirm the price for the Indian market but expect the cheapest variant to start from over Rs. 50,000.
