Spring Forward

Apple just sent out invites to the American media and bloggers about an event scheduled on March 9. True to Apple’s style, the copy associated with the invite, “Spring forward” is cryptic but given the timeline, Apple will most likely talk in detail about the Apple Watch.

Apple’s smartwatch is expected to release in April and despite the expensive price tag (will start from $349), Apple’s smartwatch is anticipated by many to bolster the smartwatch market that is ruled by Samsung’s Tizen running Galaxy smartwatches and Google Android Wear-based ones.

Features-wise, Apple Watch has a Digital Crown that provides an innovative way to scroll, zoom and navigate. It allows the watch to communicate to scroll, zoom and navigate, without obstructing the display. The Digital Crown also serves as the Home button and a quick access to Siri.

Additionally, the Apple Watch features Retina with Force Touch technology that senses the difference between a tap and a press. It also comes with a Taptic Engine and a built-in speaker that discreetly enables a new vocabulary of alerts and notifications, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 4.0 to pair seamlessly with iPhone, Apple Pay support for payments, Passbook support and Apple TV controls.
