Razer’s entry in the micro-console market is the Forge TV that fuses the openness of Android and support for PC gaming. The Forge TV packs in a punch in a compact chassis and gives access to the games from the Play Store and other multimedia content. Forge TV is also Google Cast ready which means users can stream content directly from their mobile device to the TV through the console.
Hardware-wise Forge TV comes with a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, USB 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI 1.4 and Razer Serval, a console-style Bluetooth gaming controller.
The micro-console will also support Razer Cortex that will enable users to stream PC games onto the console. The feature will launch in beta in spring 2015.
Forge TV will be available in Q1 2015 for $99.99 or $149.99 along with the controller.
