Asus India has been steadily expanding its portfolio and adding to the long list is Padfone mini (PF400CG). The interesting thing about Padfone mini is that it tries to give the best of smartphone and a tablet, depending on user’s need.
The device is equipped with a 4-inch smartphone that can be docked to transform it into a 7-inch tablet. Smartphone is the reason for all the horsepower and in this case, it’s the Intel Atom Z2560 chip with 1GB RAM that handles all the processing tasks.
The PadFone mini’s smartphone has a WVGA display resolution support but the tablet dock bumps it to WXGA (1280×800). The device is equipped with DynamicDisplay technology that ensures apps are correctly resized for the appropriate screen size.
Additionally, it has an 8 megapixel PixelMaster camera for better low light shots, full HD video recording support, ZenUI, Dual SIM support, Android 4.3 with upgrade to Android 4.4 on the way, microSD card slot and a total battery capacity of 3270mAh (1170 phone + 2100mAh pad).
Asus will sell the Padfone mini in India for Rs. 15,999.
