BlackBerry unveils Porsche Design P’9982 Smartphone

BlackBerry and Porsche Design have announced a new luxurious and uber-expensive phone – the P’9982. Distinguishing the device from the rest of the crowd is the use of high-quality materials and a customised version of the BlackBerry 10.2 OS and unique PINs.

The phone is said to feature a satin finished frame forged from the best quality stainless steel and hand-wrapped Italian leather at the back door. There will also be a limited edition of the device (500 units globally) that will boast Crocodile leather at the back.

On the OS front, the phone will feature BlackBerry Priority Hub, BBM Video with Screen Share, BBM Now and dedicated apps for Porsche Design customers.

BlackBerry and Porsche Design will also offer after market accessories like Italian leather backdoor in three colours.

The phone will be available from November 21 at Harrods in London while the limited edition with Crocodile leather will be available beginning early December.
