If the image above is to be believed, we’re looking at Acer’s upcoming Windows 8 tablet. Identified as Iconia W3, it could be the first 8-inch tablet that will run Windows 8 OS with a 1.8GHz Atom Z2760 processor and 2GB RAM. The specs seem to be underwhelming but it is the portability that Acer will be targeting with this tablet and not top notch performance. There will also be a microSD card slot, front and rear-facing cameras, keyboard support.
As for the release, Acer plans to release the tablet sometime in September.
Microsoft is also rumoured to develop a smaller sized 7-inch tablet that will be out later this year.
