In addition to plethora of announcements yesterday, Apple also unveiled a new iMac all-in-one computer with an altogether new design and improved performance. Apple says the new iMac has been designed “inside out” with its slimmest part measuring just 5mm in thickness. The iMac features an aluminum and glass enclosure that takes up to 40 percent less volume compared to the current-gen iMac and comes with powerful hardware like Intel’s third-generation Core i5 or i7 processor, GeForce graphics, 8GB RAM as standard and upgradable up to 32GB, up to 3TB HDD or 768GB SSD, two Thunderbolt and four USB 3.0 ports.

Apple is also offering Fusion Drive which is similar to the Hybrid Drive concept that combines the 128GB flash storage with the capacity of a hard drive (1TB or 3TB).

The 21.5-inch iMac will be available from November starting at a price of Rs. 85,900 whereas the 27-inch iMac will sell from December starting from Rs. 122,900.
