Xbox 360 is the only console that does not require any disc to stream Netflix content on the console. Now at the Q2 result announcement, Netflix has confirmed that a disc-free solution for PS3 is coming as well. Netflix plans to release a “major” new version that won’t need a disc to stream but will run and get dynamically updated via Netflix’s new UI.
The expected release is before October.
