Asus proudly unveiled its Eee Pad 101TC tablet running Windows Embedded Compact 7 OS back in Computex. However, a new report suggests that Asus has opted for Android OS instead of Microsoft’s low-end Windows version. The exact reason for the change is unknown but it is most likely due to Windows’ performance. Android is known to run quite efficiently even on a low-end hardware.
The expected launch is sometime in Q1 2011.
