Sony USA has announced that its Y & Z Series notebooks will be able to take advantage of Sony’s Share My Connection (SMC) allowing users to share their internet connection with five other Wi-Fi-enabled devices. Basically, the laptop acts as an Access Point and the data connection is used by other devices to get on the internet. However, there is a catch. Users will need a Wireless Mobile Broadband plan from Verizon to make it work.
The laptops with SMC are expected to come by June 20. The VAIO Y Series starts from $770 and VAIO Z Series starts from $1950.
