Sony’s decision to remove the Other OS feature from original PS3 has infuriated PS3 owners but if the latest incident gains some more traction, Sony will have to face some monetary loss too. A European gamer was refunded GBP 84 by Amazon UK because he complained to the e-tailer regarding the removal of the Other OS feature.
His triumph came from a European law directive that says the goods sold “be fit for the purpose which the consumer requires them and which was made known to the seller at the time of purchase.” In other words, Sony can’t remove it since they were selling the console advertising the feature.
There’s no such law for Americans but as PlaystationUniversity points out, a class action could be filed against Sony for a similar reason.

follow this and you’ll be good to go at least until Sony requires at least 3.21 for there games or until they restore the feature
