Movie rental service, Netflix has added the last of the current-gen consoles to its movie streaming list. Nintendo Wii will soon support streaming of Netflix movies and TV shows. Netflix users with a monthly plan of at least $9/month will be eligible for the service free of charge and would require an “instant-streaming” disc to start streaming.
Currently, Microsoft’s Xbox is the only one that does not use any disc to allow streaming from Netflix’s servers.
Netflix can greatly benefit from the deal as Wii is the highest selling console in US with more than 26m units sold.
