No matter if am addicted to Twitter or not, buying a device dedicated to a single service seems a bit absurd to me. I mean you can tweet from your PC or your mobile phone, so why is there a need for another device for you to lug around? But if your thinking differs than me, then you can surely check out TwitterPeek, world’s first mobile device dedicated to Twitter.
A user just needs to buy the device and can endlessly tweet on its always-on data connection. However, despite the creator’s claim that TwitterPeek is advanced than most twitter tools available, the device falls short on few areas.
Firstly, there’s no camera. Twitter users like to share images and if it cannot allow to share images with others, then what’s the use of having a dedicated device? However, it allows to view pictures from image sharing services.
Secondly, it does not have a web browser. Most of us post links on twitter for sharing and again, TwitterPeek fails to satisfy this where on the other hand, today’s mobile phones suffice both the conditions.
You don’t need brains which one of the device is superior when it comes to twittering on-the-go. Maybe Peek Inc. will work out the limitations in the future generations and hopefully give something exclusive (to the device) so that users are lured into buying it.
TwitterPeek will be sold exclusively on Amazon for $99 that gives 6 months of unlimited service (and $7.95/month after that) or you can go for $199 that gives lifetime unlimited service.
