Consumer research is one of the best ways for a company to know what they’re expecting from them. Take this for instance. LG conducted a research and found out people want touchscreen devices but does not want extra features that they do not use to the fullest. Well, LG paid heed to it and have come up with GD510 aka Pop. The phone will be as cheap as the Cookie (KP500) so don’t expect much from it. However, one interesting feature is the inclusion of solar charging, which is done by the optional solar battery cover.
It also has 3MP camera, 8GB internal memory, Bluetooth and 3-inch WQVGA display.
LG will be releasing the device in mid-October in Europe with rest of the regions getting after that.
