
It looks like we’ll finally have a netbook that will break the Atom mold. As rumored before, Acer is prepping 1810T from the Timeline series that is fitted in a slightly modified Aspire One 751’s chassis.
The spec sheet includes the same 11.6-inch screen with 1,366×768 resolution but here is where it gets better – 1.4GHz S3500 CULV CPU with Intel GS45 chipset, RAM support of up to 4GB, integrated GMA 4500HD coupled with hardware accelerated HD video decoding, HDMI, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, webcam, optional 3G and Bluetooth and a whopping 8 hours of battery life.
The netbook will come with Vista Home Premium but since Windows 7 is just around the corner, Acer will dish out a free upgrade to Windows 7.
