Methodist University Hospital Transplant Institute confirmed that Steve Jobs did undergo a liver transplant at their hospital but did not reveal the actual date, even though the snippet from WSJ claimed it about two months back. Jobs was tested for liver transplantation in accordance with the policies and laws and received it because he was the sickest patient on the waiting list.
The hospital said that Jobs’ MELD score (Model for End-Stage Liver Disease) was higher than any other patient which is why his transplant on priority but thankfully he is recovering well and is having an excellent prognosis.
Jobs was recently cited for a news release that indicated his return to Apple.
