Contrary to what Psystar must have believed, they won’t be getting any respite from the Apple lawyers. Psystar filed its bankruptcy under Chapter 11 that temporary shields a company from any ongoing lawsuits. However, the Southern District of Florida bankruptcy court has lifted the stay on the lawsuit with a small caveat.
Though Apple can continue with the lawsuit, they cannot ask for damage compensation charges unless and until approved by the bankruptcy court. In short, the approval happens only if the company is proved solvent, which in Psystar’s case won’t happen.
