Users who were vying to give their first unboxing experience of iPhone 3G S might have to wait a bit longer. According to the tracking info, many users were destined to get their device today but the shipments have been put on hold without any explanation. Though it could be Apple asking UPS to halt the shipping before the official launch date but as TUAW points out, it could be US Customs too.
I think that sounds reasonable because the devices are being shipped from China and with more and more devices waiting to go through the regulatory customs check, the delay is likely.
Meanwhile, Guardiantech’s status on the delay of iPhone OS 3.0 surprised everyone. However, the truth is that the OS 3.0 is on track and the June 18 date is for Singapore because of the timezone difference.
