Intel is planning to release the successor of N270 Atom processor, reports Digitimes. N450 aka Pine Trail is expected to take the helm as early as October from N270 and N280 that power majority of the netbooks currently.
Pine Trail CPUs are based on 45nm process and use a 2-chip architecture to integrate graphics and memory controller along with the processor. The advatanges are lower temperatures, power efficient and extends a netbook’s battery life.
