Sony has announced another firmware update for PSP. The v5.50 does not bring in plethora of new enhancements but the few ones it brings are worth noting. Just like the PS3, PSP has also got an Information Board on its XMB that displays news and updates from Playstation.
The new firmware works on the storage card. Users can now create or access sub-folders on the Memory Stick for their multimedia needs. Sony has also worked to reduce the size of content downloaded from the PS Store.
There’s inclusion of Internet search capability for games right from the XMB interface and a demo of an internet security pack from Trend Micro.
