CEO of Deutsche Telekom subsidiary T-Systems, Reinhard Clemens has got pretty vocal about the two major mobile platforms – Android and WinMo. Clemens goes gaga over Android saying that it is the first OS that does not require much modifications according to different phones. Android is “the first OS that enables the development of cellphone software without the need to change the code to support specific handsets”
On the other hand, he lashed out at Windows Mobile claiming that WinMo handsets are power hoggers. “Windows Mobile devours simply too much energy, and the user needs to be close to a power socket if they intend to use a Windows Mobile handset with the OS for any length of time”.
