Just when RIM’s co-CEO’s statement was doing the rounds about a screwed up firmware and sales figure to be estimated around 500,000 units, Verizon decided to step in and clear the smoke. The company official has said that they have managed to sell more than a million units in the US since its launch. The figure is miniscule as compared to iPhone 3G figures but quite phenomenal since the phone is plagued with issues. Maybe the excitement to own a first touchscreen Blackberry clicked for them.
