Qualcomm announced that they have acquired some part of the graphics and multimedia technology assets from AMD. The deal also includes intellectual property and other resources that were a part of AMD’s handheld arm. Qualcomm has its intention clear with this buyout. They will integrate AMD’s graphics prowess into their system-on-chip (SoC) product, more specifically Snapdragon.
Qualcomm bought the business for a cash consideration of $65 million.
