Sony announced another PS3 firmware update but is only applicable to PS3 users in Japan. The exact changes are unknown and I reckon it doesn’t do much either because other region users can pass this update if the PS3 is running on 2.41 or newer. However, initiating a manual update will make the PS3 to download 2.43 which will do nothing for other region users except a change in the version number.
