Wireless QWERTY keypad for PS3

Apart from unveiling the new PSP and 160GB PS3, SCE also announced a wireless QWERTY keypad which easily sits on the SIXAXIS or Dual Shock 3 controller. The keypad will make it easy for the gamer to type in and chat on PS3. There are shortcut buttons placed on the keypad to quickly access Friends and Message menu in XMB and also a touch pad button. The touch pad will allow PS3 users to use the entire surface of the keypad as a touch pad, allowing them to easily maneuver the pointer while web browsing, simply by sliding their finger on the keypad surface.

Pricing will be revealed in few weeks and will be first released in North American continent in late November followed by Japan, Europe and Asia by the end of this year.

    If Sony would put voice chat across all games there would not be a need for this keyboard at all. The price is to high 20 bucks sounds about right not 50. Being that it is a pretty useless gaget.
